Research interests
Dr Helen Taylor and I are course organisers for the first and second-year anatomy courses for preclinical medical students at the university. In addition to our teaching responsibilities, we work with a number of clinicians on a range of research projects, including musculoskeletal disorders. In conjunction with Mr Jai Chitnavis of the Cambridge Knee Clinic, we are supervising Part II projects in the investigation of meniscal tears. We provide cadaveric material for Dr Tom Turmezei’s research on quantitative cross-modality imaging of the hip joint for biomarker development in osteoarthritis. In addition, we run postgraduate courses for clinicians and allied health professionals on the application of anatomical knowledge in the clinical environment.
